In this age of marvels, nothing is impossible. There is a religion as old as 10,000 years hiding a treasure of knowledge in the mystery of man on earth. It was impossible to study and learn it till this present time. Fortunately now it has become possible to study and learn this religion with the help of science that has brought light to the entire universe, that is to say, to the entire creation. That which is the history of the universe given by science is given exactly correct in the ancient religion of Zarathushtra, i.e. Zoroastrianism. Science has shown the cause, religion has shown its effect, including the process. The religion is so mysterious, allegorical and imaginative that it is nothing wrong if we say, it is the most difficult subject in the world, more difficult than any other subject. With reference to the Parsi calendar we find that Ahura Mazda is placed before a divine spirit in four groups. In the very beginning he leads the six Amesha Spentas. Dae p Adar is second as fire is the son of Ahura Mazda who is in charge of the spirituals and this matters most to Ahura Mazda. Third is Dae p Meher in charge of light given by the sun and in Ahura Mazda's creation there can be no life without light. Most thought provoking is the fourth, Dae p Din, a Yazad in charge of religion. Only Zarathosti religion we call our Din. Each Amesha Spenta and each Yazad has a responsibility for the creation and Din Yazad is assigned to the Zoroastrian religion and what has done for it is herewith stated. To write without knowledge is a sin, especially in religious and spiritual matters. It has been estimated that nearly fourteen thousand years ago a sudden calamity rained down on the Zarathushti religion to devastate it and wipe it out from the face of the earth. There was the remotest chance to save a religion that never again was to be seen till eternity, the religion that came into being by unimaginable spiritual miracles. In that time of crisis, Din Yazad came to the rescue of the good Religion and saved it from devastation. The events that happened from the day the Iranians left their motherland with their religion and with unimaginable endurance kept in existence the religious texts that mean so much at the present time. The history of the Iranians leaving Iran in drifting boats and coming to India, and how they managed to protect the Zarthushti religion is nothing but a miracle and I would not be wrong in saying that there was a mysterious help without which such an impossible feat would not have been possible. I do not need to go into the details of the hardships and dangers our most courageous and intelligent ancestors had to face in order to succeed in their venture for the love of their religion. All that was sure to be lost was not lost. All that was impossible was made possible. If there had been no Zarthushti religion where would have Din Yazad been? So it cannot be denied that Din Yazad must have the Zarthushti religion for which he is in existence as all other Yazads. To give some idea of the reality of Yazads on the creation of which they are in control I refer to Gosh Yasht where it is stated that when the ice age ensued on our earth about eighteen thousand years ago and the earth was in danger of being devastated, the Yazad in charge of the earth, namely Gosh Yazad cried out to Ahura Mazda, "Why then did you create me? If I were to lose my earth then where would I be?" Ahura Mazda listened to Gosh Yazad's entreaty and did the needful. In order to understand this miracle, Sir Fred Hoyle, a great British scientist writes in his book "Frontier of Astronomy" under the heading "Ice Age" the following passage: "The sudden stoppage of the Ice Age 10,000 years ago is recorded in the history of the earth as the most remarkable and mysterious event, incomprehensible!" So the fact that we are in possession of the Zoroastrian religion is surely and certainly owing to Din Yazad. Therefore can we not have every month on Din Roj rites and rituals e.g. Jashan and thanksgiving Gahambar in the name of Din Yazad who protected our religion from extinction? If Ahura Mazda honours Din Yazad by his side we must understand of what value the Yazad is to Him because the Zarathushti religion is best for the best creation, the Human Being. Zarathushti religion is like all other creations made by Ahura Mazda and that is why a Divine Spirit has been assigned to it. The entire Avesta scriptures are the result of conversations between Zarathushtra and the Creator Ahura Mazda. In the Gathas the Creator tells Zarathushtra, "What I have taught you in Avestan language devised by my Spiritual Power to cause good effect on my creation and on Humankind, I name it Mathravani, meaning the words that vibrate and cause good effect in nature. The Avesta scriptures are a Divine Creation and must have a presiding Divine Spirit. I put Him on the highest pedestal, He is Din Yazad. He is the keeper and the protector of what I have entrusted to Zarathushtra!" Religions have done nothing substantial to quench the spiritual thirst of the human being. To find with the aid of science, the religion of Zarathushtra has succeeded in revealing the mysteries. The Sun is in focus of both the religion as well as science. There are three main aspects and nature of the Sun; on one hand science has given them material names, on the other hand the religion has given them spiritual names. The Corona is Khorshed; the rays, which are emitted from the Corona is Meher; Radiation Energy and Chemicals is Ram. There is a simple single name Ahu in Yatha Ahu Vairyo prayer which is the name given to God. Just as Khorshed and Meher are named, we find the name of Ram missing. But He is there and we find it joined with the name Ahu as in Ahu Ram Yazad spelt and pronounced as Ahura Mazda. Why Ahu is there is a question. Science comes to our help to show him there. Sir Fred Hoyle in his book Frontiers of Science informs us that the sun has activities of a most mysterious nature. 11 to 11 ½ year right at the precise time the flares that rise high above up to 100 miles and release the treasure for the substratum of planets. This process cannot happen on its own, there has to be a hidden mysterious power to contrive this process. Therefore it is important for Zoroastrians to understand the significance of the Spirit of our Good Religion, Din Yazad. If Din Yazad, the Divine Spirit in charge of The Zarathushtra religion, had not saved our religion, we would have lost all the treasures of knowledge given to us by Prophet Zarathushtra. |
