Yo
guys n gals,
Welcome back to my Galaxy. Happy festivities to ya all. Hope the
days ahead are full of peace, prosperity and happiness. And now,
getting straight to business… here's giving you the hot-hot gupshup
of the week. Like I always say… enjoy.
Sky high

The
latest buzz is that Shah Rukh Khan has performed some amazing stunts
in his forthcoming film 'Don'. He has jumped from a height of about
15,000 feet in one of the stunt sequences. Farhan Akhtar has called
for a special stunt team from California, headed by Hollywood stuntman
Joe Jennings. The team has Hollywood films like 'Terminal Velocity'
and 'Air Force One' to their credit. Despite an ailing back, SRK
went ahead with the death defying stunts, something which is truly
commendable. So now you see, he isn't called King Khan for nothing!
Vrrrooooom!
The eye-catching promo of Aditya Chopra's 'Dhoom 2'has hit the screens.
The 'Dhoom' clan is back with a bang… with Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha
Basu making things even more exciting. The ravishing beauties are
all set to stun with their performances, that too, in diametrically
diverse avatars. What's more! Ash has successfully thrown away that
extra flab and looks damn attractive here. Abhishek Bachchan plays
a stylish cop. But like icing on the cake, is the versatile performer
Hrithik Roshan, his roller-skating acts and the rocking stunts,
which make the film very lively and speedy. Coming: November 2006.
Wait and watch!
Shilpa appeals

The
lovely Shetty gal is again in news. After the High Court stayed
the arrest warrant issued by a Magistrate Court in Madurai against
actress Shilpa Shetty in the so-called 'obscenity case', she has
written to the Chief Justice of India Mr Y.K.Sabharwal, requesting
to initiate appropriate orders which could set a guiding precedent
in such maligning cases by lawyers against film artistes. In her
letter addressed to the Honourable Chief Justice of India, Shilpa
has said that such people in order to gain cheap publicity for themselves,
not only cause damage to the reputation of artistes, but end up
wasting the courts precious time. Shilpa has also thanked the National
Commission for Women (NCW) and its chairperson Dr Girija Vyas for
standing up for her rights and supporting the time of crisis.
Back again

The
1990's star Madhoo who married and quit the industry and today has
two lovely daughters is all set to make her big screen comeback
with 'Kacchi Sadak' which co-stars Rahul Singh and Rahul Dev. Incidentally,
this will be the last film of veteran screen villain Amrish Puri.
Madhoo is best remembered for her debut film 'Phool Aur Kaante'
with Ajay Devgan and Mani Ratnam's 'Roja' with Arvind Swamy.
Sholay postponed
It's been several months, seems like years, since Ram Gopal Varma
announced his remake of 'Sholay' with Amitabh Bachchan playing Gabbar
Singh, but since then, all he has done is announce one cast member
at a time milking it for all the publicity he could. Sources from
his 'Factory' inform us that he was planning to start shooting the
film from mid-August and had even informed his cast and technicians
about it but for reasons best known to him, he has once again postponed
it.
Two Aces!

One
may recall that many years ago Amitabh Bachchan's ABCL was supposed
to produce a film starring himself with Aamir Khan and Madhuri Dixit
but the project didn't materialize. Now, Abhishek Bachchan will
be working with Aamir for a film to be directed by Mani Ratnam.
This is likely to be the Mahabharata project that has been close
to the director's heart for a while. In all likelihood, Abhishek
would play the character of Karan, while Aamir might play Krishna.
With this I come to the end of my column. Have a great time and
miss me. Gee!:)
